Quick intro! For those of you who missed my Instagram stories yesterday, I put out that I wanted to do a Valentine's Day post on my blog finally introducing my #1 guy on here. I asked you all to send in questions for us and I picked out my top 10. I sent him the Qs last night and we each answered them separately on our time, and then sent them to each other to compare.
This was seriously SO FUN for us, and I was laughing so hard reading back our answers and seeing the ways we're so similar, but so different too. Anyways, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, ANGEL. Five down, a lifetime more to go.
1. WHAT ARE YOUR NICKNAMES FOR EACH OTHER?
E: Snuggly wuggly buggly boo. (Pronounced: Snuh’glee wuh’glee bug’glee boo). No, I’m not kidding. Like every other couple we have infinite nicknames for one other, but this is my favorite. I’ll purposely call her this in front of my friends because I think it’s funny. She doesn’t find it amusing. "Angel puff" is a close second. Keep in mind I never call her these names in front of our families. I don’t want them to think I’m a pansy or something.
N: Oh where do I begin? ANGEL is my favorite and the one I use the most, but I do like to mix it up with "pickle jar", "chicken nugget", "pudding cup", "my lil teriyaki bowl", "popcorn shrimp"... and I'm just now realizing that every one of these revolves around food.
2. WHAT'S ONE THING YOU'VE NEVER TOLD EACH OTHER?
E: “F**k you.” I’m not being rude. I’ve just honestly never used the phrase “F**k you” towards Nat.
N: I'm about to sound totally crazy, but I already planned out how I'm going to tell Eric I'm pregnant when the time comes. Obviously haven't told him that because it's gotta be a surprise, but $100 bucks says he's going to cry.
3. WHEN'S THE WEDDING?!?!
Natalie here, I'll answer this one for both of us. We actually picked our exact date already, AND IT'S PERFECT. But that's our little secret for now. I will tell you that it's in 2020.
PS: If you're one of the few people we told already, we're trusting you!!!
4. WHAT HISTORICAL FIGURE DO YOU MOST REMIND EACH OTHER OF?
E: Jackie Kennedy. Not only does Nat have an impeccable sense of style, but she would be a dope First Lady.
N: Abraham Lincoln, 💯 percent. First and foremost, the height. Second, Eric's the most honest guy I've ever met. Third, I literally tell him all the time to run for president. Mostly because America needs him, but also because I would be a damn good First Lady and decorating the White House sounds like heaven. (First Ladies can say "damn good", right?)
(I SWEAR WE DID NOT COORDINATE THESE ANSWERS)
5. HOW MANY KIDS DO YOU WANT AND WHAT WILL THEIR NAMES BE?
E: Three kids for sure. Four if we can afford a fourth. Don’t even ask me about names. I’ll have an opinion when it comes time for that. All I know is they’re all going to be real names spelled the correct way. None of this weird stuff that you see nowadays. Like Destinii instead of Destiny. (If your name is Destinii, I apologize in advance.)
N: Definitely four. Five if we can afford it. And they better be born in this order: boy, girl, girl, boy, girl. Lately I've been loving the names Violet and Ivy for girls, but that might be taking my plant obsession too far.
6. WHAT'S YOUR BIGGEST PET PEEVE ABOUT EACH OTHER?
E: Let me start off by saying that I love everything about Nat. However, when she tells stories she includes an INSANE amount of detail. This isn’t necessarily always a bad thing. The only time this is ever really a pet peeve is when I tell her I have to go and she responds with the, “Wait just one more story I forgot to tell you!” At that point in time, I proceed to plug in my headphones and get comfortable because I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.
N: The amount of In-N-Out and Chick-Fil-A that he consumes. It's less of a pet peeve, and more of an actual, legitimate health concern.
7. WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT ONE ANOTHER?
E: Our communication with one another. I don’t even need to think about this one. I’m a firm believer that the strongest component of any relationship is communication and it’s probably our greatest strength as a couple. One of my proudest moments was over the phone with Nat one day. There was a brief pause in the conversation and she said, “I’m going to go now.” Being a curious boyfriend, I asked, “Why?” to which she replied, “Because I don’t really have anything else to say.” And I was like, “Cool, love you! TTYL.” It’s truly awesome when you have open lines of communication.
Also, Nat’s got a rockin’ body. I’m a huge fan of that too.
N: I have so much admiration for Eric's drive and work ethic. He's so hard-working and goes above and beyond in every single thing he takes on. He's also the perfect combination of loving and generous, mixed with being strong and manly. I dig it.
8. HOW DO YOU RESOLVE FIGHTS?
E: If I’m being 100% honest, we don’t really have to. I can’t recall the last fight we had. Like, ever. I’m not saying we’re perfect, but simply put, we’re both really chill people when it comes to being together. At the end of the day it all comes back to communication. If either of us have an issue with something we talk it out and then hug it out. The power of a good hug works wonders.
N: Not even lying here, but we never fight. Like, ever. And I'm not saying this to brag! It actually worries me that if we ever did get in a major fight I have no idea know how we would handle it???
We had one actual fight like 4 years ago (Eric's fault, of course), so he showed up to my apartment the next day with bagels and cream cheese and all was forgiven.
9. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO TOGETHER?
E: LIVING TOGETHER/BEING MARRIED! Cuddling every night. Cooking together. Running mundane errands together. Renovating our future house together. Making money together. Living life together. Making kids together. Raising kids together. Basically, everything that comes along with being married. We’re stoked.
N: Freaking everything! We're seriously going to have the most fun life-long sleepover together ever, aren't we ANGEL?!
10. HOW MANY PETS DO YOU TWO WANT AND WHAT KINDS?
E: One golden retriever. F**k cats.
N: Two black cats. A girl named Aurora after my favorite princess, and a boy named Holden after my favorite book, Catcher in the Rye.
